I liked where that design was going but the build quality on those is so shitty. Give that some quality, a little bit of a Kaiser style grille and some better classic lines and it would be pretty cool.

The commander was the right shape and the wrong...everything else.

I find it funny how the Commander and Wagoneer both lift quite major cues from the Discovery. The Commander had the weird raised roof thing, and the Wagoneer’s rear is basically a blatant Discovery knockoff, just symm etrical.

Kinja'd!!!

I wonder how they’re going to make the Wagoneer even   more unreliable than the Discovery this time around.

Oh how I wish this didn’t have such a terrible interior and fantastically bad  motor and transmission choices. It would have a crazy cult following.

Quadra Drive was pretty spectacular when it came out, but yea that’s about it.

You know, my Ma has one in Hemi form. It’s really a nice place to spend time while having plenty of power for towing.

The Hemi is fun in them.

Honestly the interior in the higher trims is a damn nice place to spend time.

Sure it my be the 2000s layout Mopar dash, but the seats are amazingly comfortable, the seating position and controls are all laid out well, and they drive quite nice for a 3 row UV.

It’s actually pretty respectable on economy as well, she averages around 18.5 mpg in mixed driving with hers.

Well, I do respect quality seats I’ll give you that. My father in law bought his routan specifically because the seats and refuses to sell it.

Those rear ends don't look alike. I'll concede that they are both at the back of the vehicle, but that's about where the similarity ends.

That's a lot more interior trim colors than I ever want in a car. The seats should match the door cards or what are we even doing?

Really, if there ever was a vehicle that justified going all full-blown retro, this was it. The whole Grand Wagoneer name and mystique is all about nostalgia. People aren’t paying crazy money to have old ones restored just because they want a big Jeep SUV to take the family to the lake, they’re doing it because they want a Grand Wagoneer to take the family to the lake.

I mean, it's an expensive SUV, it's going to sell well no matter what, but it does seem like it's missing a little something.

yeah they should’ve made it look like the 2007 jeep commander

That’s not terrible, I didn’t realize they facelifted the interior. My dad had an 05 WK and man it sucked inside. Hard plastic everywhere.

The Hemi is a fun motor, but it isn’t without faults  unfortunately. Far better than the 4.7 though.

Every American brand during that time did the same weird shit in interiors

Explains why I don't drive an American car from that era. It looks awful.

Eh, the 4.7 is fine, assuming you maintain it properly.

The 06 Ram in our family has 263k miles, the only engine issue it’s had was needing a timing cover around 200k miles as it started leaking.

Otherwise it’s a torquey motor that gets good economy for a crew cab 4x4 pickup.

My ma’s is all black with the “brown” leather seating. It’s a very nice look.
